| Presidents Letter |
| Hello everyone, now that deer season is upon us, I hope everyone has a great season. I want to thank everyone who attended the June convention for coming and supporting NEAT. As everyone can tell the NEAT is a strong organization and we hold one of the friendliest shows going. This past show was one of the best we had with an increase of members, full supply room, and an outstanding array of mounts in the competition room. Now on to next year! The dates for next year convention are June 5th to the 7th 2008. We are currently working on Judges and seminarians. The NEAT has a strong and motivated Board of Directors and after sitting with them in the August meeting. I can tell you these BODs are here to improve the NEAT and help it grow to the next level. This is a fine group of taxidermists and I am proud to call them my Board of Directors. They started with new and exciting ideas the day after the convention, and during the meeting. Look for a few great additions to the convention next June! First I would like to let everyone know about the BOD Challenge. This is an award picked by the BOD and will change every year. This year it will be any female animal. There will be more details soon. This past September we held another successful workshop. I want to thank all who attended and we plan on holding another March 2008. The BOD is working on finalizing all the details and there will be a complete schedule in our next news letter. Workshops are only one idea we have to keep the association a year round organization. We are also looking into other means to have a group get together. Ideas such as a summer outing, or preserve hunt, and even a spring charter on a cod boat. Currently I do have a BOD looking into a cod charter for the spring. If there is any interest please let me know and we will have full details next news letter and on the web site. Now as for the web site. As you can see I finally have it up dated with a new look. There is a new addition of “find a taxidermist’s” page but I had problems putting it all together. If your name isn’t on it please call me ASAP and I will add it. Also if you have a web site or email you wish for me to add or you wish to have your name removed also contact me. If anyone has any ideas of how we can improve this web site please let me know. Starting this January I will be starting up the President monthly in addition to the newsletters, so keep an eye out for them. I hope everyone has a great season! As always if you need anything or have any ideas, or just wish to say hi please feel free to call me. I would be happy to talk to you.
